Agricultural Subsidies—Down on the DC Farm: The Mises Circle in Indianapolis

Indianapolis Mises Circle 2011
- Event

Sponsored by Weaver Popcorn Company

Some government programs seem to last forever, no matter how preposterous. So it is with agricultural subsidies. They raise prices. They reward in efficient producers. They subsidize unfairly. They divert resources. And they cost taxpayers mightily.

This one-day event will explore the history, present, and future of agriculture subsidies from the point of view of economic theory, demonstrating why few government programs enjoy less rationale than this one.

Sessions and lunch take place at the beautiful, new, downtown JW Marriott, 10 S. West Street, Indianapolis.
